LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) — A Longview woman is dead after a verbal altercation led to a driver ‘intentionally’ striking her.

The Longview Police Department said officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Letourneau Drive in reference to an “accident” with injuries on Sunday. When officers arrived, they reportedly found a woman on the ground in the yard who had significant injuries and was taken to a local hospital where she later died.
Police confirmed the victim as 40-year-old Teleka Levy-Williams of Longview.
During the investigation, officers reportedly learned that the cause of her death was not an accident and she had been intentionally struck by a vehicle after a verbal dispute.

Investigators identified the driver as Nadia Hughes, 34 of Longview, and obtained a murder warrant for her.
On Aug. 6, Hughes surrendered herself to the Gregg County Jail where she is being held on a $150,000 bond.
