ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A police officer was struck while conducting a traffic stop in Chesterfield Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred westbound on Interstate 64 at Spirit of St. Louis Boulevard. According to authorities, the officer was inside the patrol vehicle at the time of the crash.

The officer was transported to the hospital after the incident. There is no information on the injuries the officer sustained from the accident.
