“IDA is doing very well,” reported an Animal Control Officer to TCSO. “Surgery was done to remove the damaged left eye. The swelling went down from injuries where she was stitched up. She sustained a skull fracture but is expected to make a full recovery with the exception of the missing eye that in time she will be able to adapt and lead an active normal life.”

Animal Control Officers also reported Ida was doing well after surgery and looked “very happy” to have officers stop by during her recovery.

TCSO said they believe there is no active threat to the safety of the public. Officers will continue to investigate. At the moment, they are not releasing any information regarding the crime due to it being an active investigation.

Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to contact TCSO at (719) 687-9652.
