Storms on Sunday were expected to cause minor flooding in some communities near the Coachella Valley. A flood advisory was in effect until 2:55 p.m. in parts of Riverside and San Diego counties.
Areas expected to be impacted included far southeastern Palm Springs, Anza, State Highway 79 betweenWarner Springs and Oak Grove, Highway 79 between Oak Grove and Aguanga, Warner Springs, Highway 74 between Mountain Center and Anza, S7 – East Grade Road, Aguanga, Palomar Mountain and Lake Henshaw.
Between 0.5 and 1 inches of rain had fallen by early Sunday afternoon, with minor flooding ongoing or expected, according to the National Weather Service. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inches were expected.
