The average rainfall during the month of August in Oklahoma City is 2.9 inches.

NWS Norman received a report that 9.94 inches of rain were recorded east of Noble.

Oklahoma City felt a break from the hot summer weather over the weekend, but high temperatures will persist this week with temperatures in the high 90s.
Afternoon heat indices of 105 to 110 degrees will be likely across southwest Oklahoma and western north Texas this afternoon, according NWS Norman. A heat advisory is in effect for those areas.
