Two bodies have been discovered at an apartment complex in Sydney’s inner west.
NSW Police were called to the courtyard of a multi-storey building on Conder Street at Burwood just after 9.45am Monday and found a man’s body.
Shortly after, police discovered a woman’s body with stab wounds in one of the units.
Emergency services had been called to the building to conduct a welfare check.
Crime scenes have been established where each of the bodies was found. Neither person has been formally identified.
Police on Monday afternoon were going in and out of the unit complex, some carrying specialised cameras and brown paper evidence bags.
A police tent was set up below balconies near the Belmore Street end of the complex.
Detectives in plain clothes and suits entered the complex just before 3pm as residents in neighbouring buildings watched from their windows.
