LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police have released the booking photo for the man accused of stabbing two resort employees in what police called an “unprovoked” attack that resulted in the suspect being shot by a security guard.

Shayne Sussman, 25, remains in the Clark County Detention Center facing numerous felony charges following the Saturday, Aug. 4 attack. According to documents obtained by the 8 News Now Investigators, detectives believe Sussman was selling drugs in a bathroom before the stabbings.
One employee was stabbed in the face and neck and another employee was stabbed in the back around 1 a.m. inside the Red Rock resort on Charleston Boulevard near the 215 Beltway.
Sussman is facing the following eight felony charges:

Attempted murder with the use of a deadly weapon (3 counts)

Battery with the use of a deadly weapon (4 counts)

Battery with use of a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm
Sussman missed his first hearing due to medical issues following the shooting. He is due to appear in court for his initial appearance this morning.
