ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Vandalism in Albuquerque neighborhoods is getting cleaned up thanks to the Clean Cities division.
Over the past three months, the Solid Waste Department has taken action to clean up graffiti in various communities.

“Our proactive graffiti removal team is turning the tide on vandalism, making our neighborhoods cleaner and more vibrant,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “They work hard to remove every bit of graffiti, and we need everyone’s help by reporting problems, so we can keep Albuquerque beautiful.”
The graffiti removal team is made up of 19 employees; officials said, on average, the team responds and removes more than 150 graffiti cases each day.
The city said the team cleans up most of the vandalism within 8 to 10 hours of the initial reports. Albuquerque residents can report any instances of graffiti to 311.
