HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A Madisonville couple is facing child neglect charges after only feeding their 3-year old child milk their whole life.
Jayda McDowell and Cody Alfred are charged with child abuse after police say the child was never fed “solid food’ and was only fed milk.
While officers say the 3-year old was not malnourished, the milk caused calcium deposits to build up on their teeth.
Police say the child is now in the custody of social services.
McDowell and Alfred are currently being held in the Hopkins County Jail.
