Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most versatile actors in the entertainment industry. He has consistently proven his versatility on screen by embodying different shades of characters and nailing them masterfully. The road hasn’t been easy for him though. After doing miniscule appearances in films like Sarfarosh, Shool, Munna Bhai MBBS and more, he rose to popularity with Gangs Of Wasseypur and since then, there has been no looking back for him.

Although he has worked with some of the greatest talents in the industry, he particularly admires the late Irrfan Khan and acknowledges that he supported him.
In a recent chat with Filmfare, Nawazuddin was asked how much a co-actor contributes to his performance, he replied, “Great actors like Irrfan support you. When you look into their eyes, you understand the scene and the dialogue. For example, I’ve worked with Mr. Bachchan in three films. When working with him, if I start thinking of him as Mr. Bachchan, I’m disrespecting his character. It’s character-to-character interaction. For the first five-six days, I might be in awe, but after that, I have to act. Otherwise, it’s disrespectful. So, you have to shed that awe. More than half of acting is reacting.”
This year, Nawazuddin has been seen in Sailesh Kolanu’s Telugu movie Saindhav and Anand Surapur’s Rautu Ka Raaz, which released directly on OTT. The actor has a number of films lined up, including Bole Choodiyan.
