Rao shared in an interview with HT City’s Stars in the City, “It would be very hard for me to slap a girl in a scene. I wouldn’t be able to do it.” His discomfort with the scene reflects a broader conversation about the portrayal of violence in cinema and its impact on audiences.

When asked if he would have considered taking on the role of Kabir Singh, Rao responded that he would have engaged in extensive discussions with the director. “Unless it’s something that is absolutely necessary for the character, something crucial to the role, I would get into a big debate with my director,” he explained. Rao’s thoughtful approach highlights his commitment to ensuring that his roles align with his personal values and professional ethics.
