Rotherham boss Steve Evans has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association after clashing with match officials following their opening-day defeat by Exeter City in League One.
The Millers’ manager, whose side lost 1-0 at St James Park on 10 August, became involved in an exchange with the officials in the tunnel after the match.
The FA have charged Evans with “alleged the use of improper language and/or behaviour and/or questioning the integrity of a match official in or around the changing rooms”.
Evans, who returned to Rotherham for his second spell as manager in April, has been given until 19 August to respond to the charge.
