Today, head coach Derek Lalonde became the latest representative of the Red Wings organization to visit Dan Campell and Detroit Lions training camp. Lalonde, who has previously professed his professional admiration for Campbell’s cultural overhaul of the Lions, brought his children along and sported a number 97 Aidan Hutchinson jersey for the visit.
Already this summer, Steve Yzerman, Kris Draper, and a delegation of the Red Wings’ Michigan-born players led by Dylan Larkin have already visited Lions camp, and now Lalonde is the latest to join in the fun.

Lalonde spoke about the way this Lions group has captured both his team and family, along with the rest of the city of Detroit, as well as about his regard for Campbell as a coach and leader.
While the Red Wings are still roughly two months from their regular season opener, the Lions preseason has begun, and toe will meet leather on their regular campaign in less than a month on September 8.
