After two days of play at the FedEx Cup St. Jude Championship, Hideki Matsuyama and Denny McCarthy share the lead; both players are currently 11-under par. At 9-under par, Scottie Scheffler trails them both. In the FedEx Cup, players accrue points all throughout the regular season, and the top 70 are invited to play in the FedEx St. Jude Championship, held at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. Day three of the tournament is set for Saturday, August 17, though stormy weather may bring delays to tee times in the morning.
The top 50 to come out of St. Jude’s will be eligible for the BMW Championship at Castle Pines Golf Club in Colorado. And the top 30 to finish BMW will compete in the grand finale, the Tour Championship, which promises a top prize of $25 million when it’s all over.
