PETALING JAYA: Negri Sembilan shooter Gan Chen Jie has shattered the Malaysia Games (Sukma) record at the Sarawak Shooting Centre in Petra Jaya on Saturday (Aug 17).
The 20-year-old took the girls’ 50m rifle three positions gold medal by scoring 574 points in the final. She broke Nurul Syafani Abdul Razak of Perak’s record of 569 which was set the 2022 Sukma Games.
Penang’s Nur Sumayyah Dzulkifli scored 563 to take silver, while Terengganu’s Nur Hanisah Adibah Zakaria took bronze with 561.
It was the first Sukma record smashes in the shooting event in Kuching.
