Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal recently celebrated their one-month wedding anniversary with a romantic getaway in the Philippines. The couple, who had been dating for seven years before tying the knot, were married in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai, attended by close friends and family. In a conversation with Galatta India, Sonakshi and Zaheer shared their thoughts on the most memorable moments from their wedding day.
Zaheer Iqbal said, “I think it is the best moment of my life, and it was so beautiful. The Kanyadan had been delayed by 15 minutes, and when we finally sat down, I held her hand, and we were praying. Suddenly, Sona said, ‘Can you hear that?’ I asked, ‘What?’ She replied, ‘The Azaan is on,’ and it was such a beautiful moment. The pandit was praying, reciting the mantras, and the Azaan was playing in the background as we were getting married. It felt like divine intervention.”
On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in the ZEE5 horror comedy Kakuda. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film is set in a picturesque town in Uttar Pradesh, haunted by a mischievous ghost named Kakuda, who curses men to die within 13 days unless they keep a small door open on Tuesday evenings. The film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, who faces off against these mystical forces.
