MEMPHIS, Tenn. — MSCS Superintendent, Dr. Marie Feagins, filed a police report earlier this month after a confrontation with a board member for a local non-profit.
On August 8, officers responded to an intimidation call in the 6000 block of Poplar Ave.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with Dr. Feagins and she said that at approximately 5:10 p.m., she was leaving a meeting at the above location.
As she was walking to the door to exit the building, she was approached by Dow McVean. The two were having a conversation about a contract that he wanted her to look over.

As Dr. Feagins and others were walking in the parking lot, McVean approached her again, and this time, Dr. Feagins said he was angry. She told officers she could tell because of his facial expression.
McVean allegedly began to vent to her about the contract before allegedly approaching Dr. Feagins in an “angry manner.”
The police report said that’s when two witnesses appeared and shielded Dr. Feagins from McVean with their body and forearms.
McVean approached Dr. Feagins again but eventually left. She told officers that she was in fear.
No charges have been filed.
