Boy, 10, dies after becoming unwell at Flip Out Glasgow trampoline park | UK News – MASHAHER


A ten-year-old boy has died after becoming unwell at a trampoline park in South Lanarkshire.

Emergency crews were called to Flip Out Glasgow in Rutherglen’s Southcroft Road shortly before 11am on Sunday.

The youngster was taken by ambulance to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, where he was pronounced dead.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The child’s death is being treated as unexplained, although there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.”

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

The force initially notified the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) but was re-directed towards the local authority as the relevant enforcing body for trampoline parks.

The council was contacted for comment.

Flip Out Glasgow is a 63,000 sq ft indoor centre which boasts 34 trampolines, a soft play area, e-karting and a laser quest arena.

The centre posted a statement online following the incident, confirming it was currently closed.

A spokesperson added: “Please follow our social media pages for further updates.”
