The wait is almost over for fans eagerly anticipating Ananya Panday’s OTT debut, Call Me Bae. Prime Video has announced that the much-awaited trailer for the series will be unveiled on August 20. The series revolves around Bella “Bae” Chowdhary, a former heiress who must navigate life after losing her fortune. With a stellar cast including Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, and Varun Sood, the show promises a blend of comedy, drama, and glamour.

Call Me Bae is a Dharmatic Entertainment production, backed by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. The series is written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair, and directed by Collin D’Cunha. The 8-part series is set to premiere globally on Prime Video on September 6, 2024.
“From the get go, I knew Call Me Bae was a project I wanted to be a part of. Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that recently Ananya Panday was honoured with the Brand Endorser of the Year award at the annual IAA Leadership Awards. During the event, she discussed her show. “It’s a fun comedy, a chick flick with a lot of fashion and a little mystery. It’s like Clueless meets Schitt’s Creek meets Nancy Drew meets Aisha meets Poo from K3G,” she described.
