Highway 99W was closed in both directions 1 mile south of Rickreall at milepost 58.5 on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
ODOT advised people in the area to take an alternate route and avoid the area.
The multicar collision happened just after 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
There were multiple rescue units on scene from the Southwest Polk Fire District.
