Mike Tyson has admitted to feeling nervous ahead of his fight against Jake Paul on November 15.
However, the 58-year-old has insisted he gets nervous before every fight – and he has utilised his agitations to his benefit in the past.
Tyson has not fought professionally since 2005 when he was forced to retire against Kevin McBride, though he did take on Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition clash in 2020.
Now he faces YouTube sensation Paul, who is 31 years younger than Iron Mike and has lost once in his 11 professional fights, albeit against the only actual boxer he has ever faced in Tommy Fury.

Speaking to Jake’s brother Logan on his podcast ‘Impaulsive’, Tyson revealed how he is feeling nervous before his upcoming bout.
“I’m doing really well [on the cardio front], doing my sprints and all that stuff,” the veteran heavyweight said.
“No concerns more than normal, just nervous, that’s about it.
“All fighters are nervous, all athletes are nervous. I’m not going to let anyone tell me because I’m nervous I’m afraid, because I’ve been nervous my whole career and I’ve been very successful.”
Tyson was renowned for his monstrous power in his prime, claiming 44 knockouts in his 50 wins across his career where he also became the youngest heavyweight champion at the age of 20 years, 4 months, and 22 days old.
However, he is not underestimating Paul despite his incredible boxing past.
“The difference between me and all the other guys that he fought – they weren’t apprehensive or afraid of him,” he added.
“I’m just that kind of person, that’s who I am [with] my nerves.
“Because I don’t want to get angry or anything, that’s why I’m scared.

“The only thing I have to think of is being younger and people bullying me,” Tyson said.
Logan then asked if his brother was bullying him, particularly after a press conference riddled with trash talk, to which Tyson replied: “No… the closer it gets to the fight, I’ll feel bullied, yeah. I’ll get that feeling.

“This is what I found out. The s***-talkers get all the money, the s***-talkers get all the attention, the s***-talkers get everything.
“We get a bad rep but we get everything else. If you don’t talk s***, what’s even the purpose of you going to the fight?”
