Hurricane Gilma has formed Wednesday morning and has become the second hurricane of the 2024 East Pacific Hurricane Season. It does so over a month late. Invests 90 and Invest 91E are expected to merge together and target Hawaii in the coming days. East of Gilma, disorganized showers and thunderstorms centered several hundred miles southwest of the coast of southwestern Mexico are associated with an area of low pressure.
