Broncos coach Kevin Walters has declared there will be no ifs or buts – his side will play finals this season.
Brisbane kept their season alive after overcoming a horror start and scoring five unanswered tries to beat the Eels 30-24 on Friday night.
To play finals, Walters will need his men to win out against the Dolphins and Storm, and the Dragons to lose two of their final three games – against the Sharks, Eels and Raiders.

The bookies have the 10th-placed Broncos at $7.50 to make the top eight, but there is no doubt in Walters’ mind they’ll be playing knockout football this September.
“There is no if here, we’re going to make the finals,” Walters declared.
“Yeah (we can challenge in the finals). We will make the finals but we’ve got to play well next week.
“We didn’t play well and we managed to win but if we come up with that next week (against the Dolphins) it won’t be the same result.”
Walters admitted it was a sloppy performance against the Eels, but emphasised they simply needed to find a way to win and that’s what they did.
“I was a bit frustrated,” Walters said of the 16-0 deficit. “It wasn’t a good start from our fellas.

“We went against everything we spoke about, but I admired their courage to stay in the game and fight hard in the first half and even in the second half it got tough in different stages.
“It was a much needed win obviously and it wasn’t that pretty but they hung in there well.
“They never gave up, that’s how they won the game. Some of the footy wasn’t very enticing but we got the job done.
“The important thing tonight was to come here and win.”
