Burn Scar From Fire in Northeastern Wyoming Seen in Satellite Imagery – MASHAHER


A burn scar from a fire raging in northeastern Wyoming was visible in satellite imagery on Thursday, August 22.

The imagery, released by the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA), shows the fire, dubbed the House Draw fire, “exploding in size overnight” and the burn scar visible on Thursday morning.

The fire had burned 163,466 acres as of Thursday and was zero percent contained, according to an update from local officials. Credit: CSU/CIRA & NOAA via Storyful
