LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Fire crews and police have responded and are evacuating a Las Vegas hotel after a fire Thursday evening, according to Metro police.
The Clark County Fire Department and Metro police responded around 7:50 p.m. to the Renaissance Hotel near Paradise and Desert Inn roads after a report of a fire near the roof, police said.
When crews arrived they found smoke coming from the roof where they found a small fire of material on the roof. The fire was quickly extinguished, CCFD said.
As a precautionary measure, the two floors below the fire were evacuated, according to CCFD. No injuries were reported and the cause and dollar loos have yet to be determined.
Hotel staff and guests told 8 News Now that around 9 p.m. normal check-in resumed however there was a backlog and a long wait time.
