A Pennsylvania man has been accused of taking photographs and videos of a person involved in sex acts in their home and then distributing them on the internet, according to Horry County Police.
Steven Guthoff, 62, was arrested Aug. 20, 2024, for voyeurism after he allegedly photographed and took video of the victim for nearly two years, according to an arrest warrant.
While the warrant has Guthoff listed with a Pennsylvania driver’s license, it appears he may have been living in Conway during the incident, according to another police report.
From July 2022 through April 2024, Guthoff recorded the victim inside the victim’s Longs area home, the warrant said. The images and video were then distributed on various internet sites and social media platforms without the victim’s consent.
During July 2022 through April 2024, Guthoff photographed and video recorded the victim in various stages of undress and sexual activity inside their Longs area home.
The victim reported to police on April 29, 2024, that they suspected Guthoff had been recording them while engaged in sexual acts and then disseminating the materials without their knowledge or permission.
Victim also told police they feared retribution by Guthoff for reporting the information to law enforcement.
It is unclear from the report how the victim found out about the recordings.
Guthoff was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center and was released Aug. 21, 2024, on $3,000 bail.
