A 34-year-old Tongan man who flew from Brisbane to Perth to help retrieve almost 566kg of cocaine from waters off WA’s north has been jailed for 22 years.
Siosifa Koloam Favia developed a major cocaine addiction after the death of his brother and amassed a $130,000 debt, prompting him to accept an offer of $300,000 to collect the drugs from the ocean off Kalbarri in August last year.
