Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Chhattisgarh on Friday evening for a significant three-day visit. Over the next two days, Amit Shah will chair a number of meetings where he will tackle a range of critical issues the state is facing.

Here’s a look at Union Minister Amit Shah schedule over the next two days:

On August 24th, Amit Shah will chair an interstate coordination meeting at 11.30 am with the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police (DGP) of Chhattisgarh, along with their counterparts from neighbouring states like Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh.

The focus of this high-level discussion will be on strengthening the anti-Naxal operations in the region. Given the persistent threat Naxalism poses, this coordination is crucial for ensuring peace and development in Chhattisgarh and its neighbouring states.

Following this important meeting, Amit Shah will attend another session at 2.30 pm, centered on security and development in the Naxal-affected areas of Chhattisgarh. This discussion will aim to explore strategies and measures needed to effectively combat Naxalism.

On August 25, Amit Shah will inaugurate the new Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in Raipur at 10.30 am. After this, he will participate in a review meeting to assess the bureau’s operational readiness and strategic plans.

Later, at 1.30 pm, Amit Shah will attend a crucial meeting on the expansion of cooperatives in Chhattisgarh. This session will highlight the importance of cooperatives in driving economic growth. The session will likely include insights from BJP leaders and state ministers on the ongoing governmental and organizational efforts.

In the evening, Amit Shah will conclude his visit and return to Delhi, having laid out a comprehensive plan aimed at enhancing security, fostering development, and boosting cooperation in Chhattisgarh.
