Your weekend driving plans might need some adjusting.

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced that a handful of ramps leading to the highways, state routes and interstates surrounding Columbus will face close this weekend and beyond.

These closures come on top of already existing highway disruptions caused by ODOT’s Downtown Ramp Up project to revamp Interstate 70 and Interstate 71 around Columbus.

Columbus weekend highway ramp and interchange closures

Here’s where you should be on the lookout for detours.

  • The Gender Road northbound ramp to U.S. 33 westbound will close from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

  • The Route 315 northbound ramp to Cannon Drive will close from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

  • The Sullivant Avenue ramp to I-70 eastbound will close overnight (from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.) on Friday and Sunday.

Some closures ODOT has planned don’t start this weekend, but rather early next week.

  • The Hamilton Road northbound ramp to Interstate 270 will close Monday through winter 2024.

  • The Hamilton Road bridge over I-270 will have daily lane restrictions starting Monday through winter 2024. Northbound traffic will be routed through the southbound lanes on the bridge.
