Sarabjot Singh reveals special admiration for viral Turkish Shooter Yusuf Dikec – MASHAHER

India shooter Sarabjot Singh revealed special admiration for the viral Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec. Notably, Dikec won the silver medal in the Mixed 10m air pistol event at the Paris Olympics 2024. The 51-year-old became a social media sensation during the Olympics for his effortless shooting at the Games.

Dikec’s casual approach in his sport as he shot without any specialized lenses helped him garner a massive fan following on social media. India’s Sarabjot Singh also revealed his special admiration for Dikec saying that he’s been following him since 2011 but hasn’t been able to match his perfection.

“I have been watching his (Yusuf’s) videos since 2011. He has always been like this. He is 51 today. Even though I have tried, I could not match his perfection. If I had the chance, I would ask him what he eats?!” said the Olympic bronze medallist in an interview with Puma.

Sarabjot scripted history at the Paris Olympics as he became the first Indian male shooter to win a medal in the Mixed Team event. He and Manu Bhaker won the second medal for India at the Games in the Mixed 10m air pistol event.

Enjoyed banters with Manu Bhaker: Sarabjot

Further speaking ahead, the 22-year-old opened up on his conversations and said that the duo didn’t train together but engaged in some fun banter.

“My training was due at 9, hers was due at 12, individually. Mixed session lasted for 30 minutes, before which she trained separately, and I separately. Our conversation was usually brief and limited to ‘Apna 100 per cent dena hai (we have to give our 100 per cent)’. Apart from that, we enjoyed some banter. Sometimes I would make fun of her, sometimes she would of me,” he added.

Meanwhile, following his Olympic heroics, Sarabjot Singh was offered a job by Haryana government. However, the youngster rejected it to focus on his career. Apart from Sarabjot, Manu Bhaker and Swapnil Kusale were the other two medallists from shooting for India in Paris.
