During the traffic stop, which happened near the intersection of East Wall and North Main Streets, Sipriano reportedly refused to exit his vehicle and allegedly put the vehicle into drive in ‘an attempt to leave,’ officers say.
Officers noted a strong odor of intoxicants and said that Sipriano admitted to having three beers. It was later learned that Sipriano was out on a $1,000 cash bond for his 5th OWI offense and that he had been ordered to have an ignition interlock device and was required to maintain absolute sobriety.
Sipriano reportedly did not have an ignition interlock device installed in his vehicle.
