Cd.

Lamb just got paid by way of a $136 million.04 year contract extension with $100 million of that guaranteed.

It’s the second largest non quarterback contract in the NFL.

And what’s it mean?

Well, it means that if your plan for the demise of the Dallas Cowboys was based in part on contract issues becoming a conversation during the regular season, that plan just took a massive hit.

Let’s be honest here, of all of the three that we keep talking about CD, Micah Parsons and Dak Prescott, this was the easiest of the contracts to figure out because we’ve seen massive dollars go out to wide receivers this year and it’s easier to figure out how to slot that position in the current economic scale of the NFL.

Also CD is basically the offense.

If you look at the way the Cowboys approached it last year, it was D A to CD and then everything else was just an afterthought this off season.

They didn’t really do it anything to address the running game.

They didn’t do much to evolve or change their offense.

So they’ve told you that they need CD and D to continue to be the highest performers possible if they intend to win 12 games.

Yet again, that being said, CD being one of the best made this easy end.

When are we gonna learn our lesson?

How many years in a row?

Are we gonna have wild speculative conversations about the contracts of the Dallas Cowboys only to see those contracts get solved in the 11, 10 hour.

This is what happens every time.

And as much as we love to obsess over Jerry Jones saying they would go all in, sometimes all in means simply keeping the people you have to keep to be the best team that you can be.

This is a massive first step towards that.

And sure while we have conversations left to be had about the other two superstars and what will happen for them financially, we can now rest it knowing one of the best will be wearing the star on his helmet for years to come.
