MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash Tuesday morning after a semi-truck was unable to stop in time and crashed into stopped traffic in Madera County, according to CHP.
Officers say the semi-truck was approaching stopped traffic on northbound Highway 41 at the Avenue 12 stop light.
That’s when officials said the driver was unable to stop in time and rear-ended a white Honda causing a chain reaction crash involving other vehicles. No one was in the back of the white Honda at the time of the crash, officers say only the driver was inside at the time.
According to officials, the crash caused minor to moderate injuries to those involved. Officers say the driver of the white Honda suffered a possible concussion.
CHP says the area of northbound Highway 41, south of Avenue 12, has since been cleared and traffic is returning to normal.
