The Old Farmer’s Almanac Reveals Complete Winter 2024-2025 Forecast – MASHAHER

The Old Farmer’s Almanac made some bold predictions in the initial reveal of its Winter 2024-2025 forecast, but there were actual pieces to the puzzle missing.

Today, August 26th, 2024, The Old Farmer’s Almanac has revealed a complete map with a detailed forecast for each region of the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. See below.

The annual publication doesn’t use explicit details for each region’s forecast, but two words can certainly paint a picture. One that some say is missing varying levels of essential information, but a picture, nonetheless.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac President Carol Connare stated in a press release, that Winter ’24/’25 wild be mild. Specifically, the publication believes it will be a “Calmer, Gentler” Winter for the United States. Anti-Winter folks who lack a skier’s love for snowy, stormy, and cold winters will certainly celebrate this prediction. Skiers, on the other hand, are scrambling to make excuses or find reasons to doubt.

Areas of potential concern for skiers include Alaska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, New England, New York, Idaho, and Wyoming. These areas all fall under The Old Farmer’s Almanac’s category of ‘Mild, Dry’. Not ideal for a long and prosperous ski season.

Lake Tahoe skiers are most likely scratching their heads. The region seemingly falls somewhere between ‘Mild, Wet’, ‘Mild, Snowy’, and ‘Mild, Dry’. Actually, come to think of it, The Old Farmer’s Almanac nailed it. Those six words describe most winters in Lake Tahoe. Ask your buddy that spent a season as a lifty. They’ll agree.

Utah, Northern Arizona, Western Colorado, and parts of Montana can find solace in the publication’s ‘Mild, Snowy’ forecast. A mild season isn’t bad as long as it’s interrupted by periods of cold-enough storms. The cycle can be quite fun, actually.

The most favorable forecasts, for skiers at least, are Colorado, West Virginia, and the Pacific Northwest. These regions were given an exciting ‘Cold, Snowy’ forecast from The Old Farmer’s Almanac. The imaginations are surely running wild.
