Three men have been arrested over the stabbing of a woman at Notting Hill Carnival – with police believing the victim was caught in the middle of a fight between two groups of men.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and violent disorder.
While a 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
The woman is still in a life-threatening condition.
“While the investigation is ongoing, initial enquiries suggest the woman got caught up in the middle of an altercation between two groups of men,” police said. “It’s not yet clear if they were known to her.”
All three were arrested at separate addresses in Hammersmith and Fulham on Tuesday morning. They remain in custody.
