In a never-heard-before take on Karan Johar’s fashion journey, he shared, “My fashion choices speak to who I am. They are unapologetic, they’re unconventional and they’re often the talk of the town. I wear what I love and I enjoy every moment of it. I think that’s why it resonates with so many people who are just looking for ways to express themselves. I really try to embrace my unique personality when I dress up and that’s what makes it glamorous.”

Karan’s daring choices have always set the stage for conversations, and he recounts one of his boldest fashion moments. “You know I love occasions and when my 50th birthday came around, I really wanted to go all out. There are certain expectations that come with being a man in his 50s, and of course, me being so expressive about who I am, I went with an unexpected choice of the outfit. The shiny green blazer was certainly a bold choice, but I couldn’t have imagined the reaction it got. People loved it, people hated it, but everyone definitely sat up and took notice,” he revealed.

Commenting on the one thing he has in common with Orry that brings them together, Karan added, “We are always in the news! There’s always conjecture around us—whether it’s our bold fashion choices or our appetite for taking risks. People love to talk, and they love to talk about us!”
