Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare has closed several entrances as a precaution following threatening messages, according to a recent Facebook post.
In their post on social media, hospital staff alerted guests to “please be advised that threatening statements have been made to our organization by a guest who is not currently on our campus.”
The hospital has closed off several exits and entrances and is asking all guests to enter in through the main atrium. The hospital is also heightening security across campus.
“The hospital remains fully open and operational and visitors are welcome,” staff wrote online. “The safety of our patients and colleagues is our top priority.”
The hospital is working closely with law enforcement and will maintain restricted access until the threat is absolved. They also say to visit their website for future updates.
