Australian Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri has claimed second spot on the podium at the Italian Grand Prix behind the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc.
Piastri’s McLaren – despite being faster – ran out of laps amid a frantic attempt to chase down a Ferrari that had run a high-risk strategy of pitting fewer times.

Lando Norris, also for McLaren, crossed in third ahead of Carlos Sainz for Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes. Defending champion and championship leader Max Verstappen could only manage sixth.
More to come.
