NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A new study is naming two Middle Tennessee suburbs among the fastest-growing in the nation with home values below $500,000.
GoBankingRates said they compiled the list after analyzing 50 cities that had home values below $500,000 and an increase in population between 2020 and 2022.

According to the study, Lebanon and Gallatin were the only suburbs in Tennessee that made the list.
Lebanon landed at No. 19 as the fastest-growing suburb in America with a $439,223 home value in July 2024 and nearly a 14% population increase from 2020 to 2022. The city’s special census showed that 44,941 people were living in the area in 2020.
In fact, the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau showed that Lebanon is one of the 15 fastest-growing cities in the nation, growing 8.9% from July 2022 to July 2023.
Another Middle Tennessee suburb on the list: Gallatin. The study said the city in Sumner County is No. 31 among the fastest-growing suburbs and had a $432,531 home value in July 2024.

GoBankingRates reported Gallatin’s population increased 11.64% from 2020 to 2022, growing from 40,262 to 44,947 people.
