Plane forced to make emergency landing in field near Odessa, Missouri – MASHAHER


KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two people suffered minor injuries Monday morning after making an emergency plane landing in a field near a home in Odessa, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 8:32 a.m., a two-seat, single-engine aircraft carrying two people left a small Grain Valley airport and started flying east.

Twelve minutes later, at 8:44 a.m., flight logs showed the plane grounded in a grassy area near Highway 131 and Oakwood Drive.

MSHP said the two individuals inside the plane suffered cuts and bruising.

The cause of the emergency landing is currently under investigation.
