A fire just north of San Jacinto grew to 650 acres by Sunday evening, and authorities started announcing evacuation warnings.

Dubbed the Record Fire, the blaze was reported in the area near Soboba Road and Gilman Springs Road just after 2:15 p.m. Sunday, initially covering five acres. By 7:30 p.m., the brush fire had spread across roughly 650 acres and was at 0% containment, according to a social media post from CalFire/Riverside County Fire Department.

CalFire issued an evacuation warning for the following zones: RVC Poppet Flats 1, 2, 3 and 4. North of Wolf Road, West of Partridge Street and Hungry Hollow Road, South of Old Idyllwild Road and East of Gubner.

The department also shared that six firefighters have been transported to area hospitals with minor medical symptoms.

The fire department deployed multiple air and ground resources in response, as temperatures peaked around 100 degrees in the area.

This is a developing story.
