Alison Brie is the latest superstar to join the live-action feature adaption of “Masters of the Universe” from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films.
Brie has been cast as Evil-Lyn, starring opposite Nicholas Galitzine (who is playing the role of He-Man) and Camila Mendes (as Teela).
Travis Knight (“Kubo and the Two Strings,” “Bumblebee”) is on board to direct the live-action film adaptation of the popular franchise, with Chris Butler writing the screenplay, following initial drafts written by David Callaham and Aaron and Adam Nee. Mattel Films’ Robbie Brenner, Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch are producing.
Plot details are being kept under wraps for the film, which will be released exclusively in theaters worldwide on June 5, 2026.
Brie is represented by WME and Rise Management. The Hollywood Reporter was first to report the casting news.
