An employee of the Starbucks outlet in New Delhi’s Khan Market posted an appreciation note for a Zomato delivery agent who arrived at the store with his two-year-old daughter to pick up an order.
Devendra Mehra, store manager of the Starbucks outlet, shared pictures of Sonu and his daughter in a post on LinkedIn along with his story.
Sonu is a single parent and his daughter accompanies him to work. In his post, Mehra reflected upon Sonu’s commitment and affection for his child, offering a powerful reminder of the strength of the human spirit.
“Today, a Zomato delivery boy came to our store Starbucks Khan Market, New Delhi, to pick up an order. He touched our hearts. Despite facing challenges at home, he continues to work hard while caring for his little 2-year-old daughter with him during work. He is a single parent raising his daughter. Seeing his dedication and love for his child was truly inspiring,” Mehra said.
Mehra was also kind enough to offer a “small treat of babyccino” to the little girl and she was delighted of course.
“We were honoured to offer her a small treat of babyccino, hoping to bring a little smile to her face. It reminded us of the strength and resilience of the human spirit, even in difficult times. We wish him and his daughter all the best, and we’re grateful for the small moments that remind us of the kindness and empathy that connect us all. His name is Sonu,” Mehra added.

Zomato responded to Mehra’s post and thanked him for sharing Sonu’s “touching story” apart from applauding the delivery agent for his dedication towards work.

Several social media users also admired the Zomato delivery agent’s commitment to his work and his role as a loving father.

A LinkedIn user also said that he would love to raise funds for Sonu’s daughter’s education.
