It seems that Boney Kapoor has been in nostalgic mode ever since the start of the week since he has been sharing several interesting throwback memories from his early days as the producer on social media. Among the many photos of different films and memories, he shared an interesting flashback picture from the late 80s which is from the premiere of cult classic Mr. India that also features his late wife Sridevi, brother Anil Kapoor, along with the rest of the team of the film.

Taking to Instagram, Boney Kapoor shared this black-and-white photo which he mentioned was clicked from the premier of Mr. India which was held two days prior to its release in May 1987. Along with the leading man and female lead, the photo was special as it featured filmmaker Shekhar Kapur sharing the stage with legendary writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar. “Premiere of Mr India 27th May 1987,” he captioned. Reacting to this sweet photo was also the late Sridevi and Boney’s elder daughter as well as actress Janhvi Kapoor who commented on her father’s looks saying, “Papa so handsome”.
Apart from the producer, the photo also made many netizens take a trip down memory lane who appreciated the memory being shared on the platform. “Awesome!! What an amazing film!! ???????????????? Pyar Mr India se n mogambo became immortal indeed!!,” wrote a fan whereas many other users also shared how much they miss Sridevi.
For the unversed, Mr. India is a sci-fi drama best known for its music and dialogues like ‘Mogambo Khush Hua’ and ‘Calendar Khana Do’. Apart from Anil Kapoor and Sridevi, the film featured an ensemble star cast that also included Amrish Puri, Annu Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Ashok Kumar, among others in key roles. It released in theatres on May 25, 1987.
