Nick “the Wizard” Watson has booted a goal from a set shot, something he struggled with earlier in the season, and the MCG has erupted again.
I haven’t heard a roar like this since I found the wizard on a page of the Where’s Wally book in 1998.
“This is big for his mindset moving forward in this game,” Matthew Richardson said on Seven.
He is a fan favourite, as shown by the scores of Hawks fans wearing wizard hats or, in one case, a huge white wizard beard.
