Barbara Nomakhosi: Woman found dead in Bury – with suspect fatally hit by lorry on M65 motorway | UK News – MASHAHER

A woman was found dead with multiple injuries in Bury – with the suspect killed by a lorry on the M65 the same evening.

Police were called around 10.30pm on Friday after Barbara Nomakhosi’s body was discovered at a property on Walnut Avenue.

Officers believe she died earlier that evening.

A suspect was identified, but Greater Manchester Police said he died after being hit by a lorry on the M65 eastbound, between junctions 5 and 6, at approximately 9pm that same evening.

The man – in his 40s – was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is under way, but police say no other suspects are being sought in connection with her death and there is no wider risk to the public.

The incident on the motorway is also being investigated.

The family of Ms Nomakhosi, 35, have paid tribute to her “thoughtful” nature, saying she was “always checking up” on loved ones.

“Barbara loved her family and enjoyed working as a carer,” they said in a statement, released through the police.

“We loved Barbara so much and life will not be the same without her.”

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Davis said: “We are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with this tragic incident and I want to reassure residents that there is no wider threat to the community.

“We will continue to support Barbara’s family and will be doing everything we can to help them through this process.”

Anyone with relevant information or footage is asked to contact Greater Manchester Police, Lancashire Police or Crimestoppers.
