COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)-The forecast is all related to the tropics. Tropical Storm Francine is expected to intensify before making landfall Wednesday.
In the meantime, we will experience gusty winds and rainbands bringing gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall through the extended forecast. Wednesday expect a few outer bands to lift a few showers in the region.
Thursday through Friday the rain will increase with heavy rainbands, with wind gusts steady and up to 30mph.
We are WEATHER AWARE Thursday-Friday because the persistent rainfall and wind combined will add to weakened tree limbs snapping and possible power outages and treacherous road travel.
