After the upcoming release of Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, and Fahadh Faasil, director TJ Gnanavel is set to helm another major film with Junglee Pictures titled Dosa King. The film is based on the real-life story of restaurant mogul P. Rajagopal, founder of Saravana Bhavan, and his clash with Jeevajothi Santhakumar. Gnanavel, who is known for Jai Bhim, has teamed up with writer Hemanth Rao to tell this high-stakes story of ambition and justice.

A real-life drama on a grand scale
Dosa King will focus on P. Rajagopal’s rise to power and the infamous crime that led to his conviction after a lengthy legal battle. The film also highlights the courage of Jeevajothi, who challenged the powerful tycoon, leading to a landmark judgment. Gnanavel, known for his intense storytelling, will bring his signature style to this project, drawing on the shocking events that captivated the public.
A collaboration of talent
The film’s script is co-written by Hemanth Rao, a renowned filmmaker and writer in Kannada cinema, known for movies like Godhi Banna Saadharna Manushya and Andhadhun. Together, Gnanavel and Rao are set to create a compelling narrative with powerful twists and deep character development, making Dosa King an anticipated cinematic experience.
