Zayed Khan, who starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the 2004 film Main Hoon Na, recently opened up about his experience of working with the superstar. Khan described SRK as an “ocean of insight” and praised his professionalism and dedication. In an interview with Rohit Roy, Zayed revealed how SRK helped him prepare for a challenging monologue scene. He recalled how SRK patiently rehearsed with him, offering valuable guidance and encouragement.

Beyond their professional relationship, Zayed and SRK shared a competitive bond. The two actors frequently engaged in friendly battles playing FIFA 2000. Zayed revealed that SRK was particularly frustrated by his gaming skills and would often insist on playing until he won. Zayed recalled, “We used to play video games. He is a full on game geek. He used to hate the fact that I used to beat him in FIFA 2000. At night, after pack up, we used to play the whole time. He would make me play until he won.”

Zayed expressed his gratitude for the lessons he learned from SRK. Zayed said, “He has taught me a lesson in life. As actors, we tend to be very competitive. There is this very healthy competition about dialogues, directors, camera, lighting. With Shah Rukh Khan, he taught me you should prepare for everything ahead and behind the scene.”
Zayed further added, “He said, ‘Don’t be in this competitive mode. Set up a situation in such a way that even if you are annoying someone, you should know how they are going to react and for their reaction you need to keep at least three reactions ready in your head. So this removes the competitiveness and just keeps you prepared.’”
Speaking of the professional front, Zayed was last seen in Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene, released in 2015. Now, he is gearing up for his OTT debut with The Film That Never Was, which was announced in 2022 by Jio Studios at an event and shared a few glimpses of the project. The makers are yet to announce the release date.
