Ishan Kishan slammed a century on his return to Duleep Trophy for India C in the second round fixture against India B on Thursday.
Kishan hit his century off 121 balls with the help of 14 fours and two sixes.
The 26-year-old also had a bit of luck as he survived two drop catches in two overs during the first day’s play. He pulled a short ball from Navdeep Saini to deep backward square leg where Nitish Kumar Reddy leapt and stopped it from going for six but couldn’t hold on to it.
In the next over, Ishan mistimed a pull off a short ball from Mukesh Kumar and this time NKR from mid-on had to shuffle, turn back, run, and dive for a dropped catch.

Earlier in the day, Ishan was added late into the India C squad. Sportstar understands that he joined the team on Wednesday and was also part of the practice session.
Kishan had been ruled out of the first round of the Duleep Trophy due to a groin injury. He sustained the injury during the Buchi Babu Tournament in Tamil Nadu, where he played two matches for Jharkhand—his first multi-day games in over a year.
